A dual-unit advanced reactor project under construction on the Gulf Coast set to deliver 1,800 MW of clean energy to the Southern United States.
The Southern Coastal Project is a dual-unit advanced pressurized water reactor under construction along the Gulf Coast. With 1,800 MW of combined capacity, it is one of the largest civilian nuclear projects in the region and a cornerstone of the company’s clean energy expansion.
The project leverages modular construction and a proven reactor design to deliver on an aggressive schedule. Thousands of workers are currently employed on site, with substantial local and regional supply chain benefits.

This project is designed to avoid millions of tonnes of CO₂ equivalent each year compared with equivalent fossil-fuel generation. Detailed environmental performance metrics, including emissions avoidance, water stewardship and land-use commitments, will be published in our annual sustainability disclosures as the project progresses.
The project supports hundreds of skilled, long-term careers and generates substantial regional economic activity through payroll, local supply contracts, property taxes and workforce development partnerships. Final figures are updated as construction and operations milestones are reached.
