A state-of-the-art pressurized water reactor under construction near Atlanta, designed to provide clean, reliable baseload power to the growing Southeastern United States.
The Meridian Reactor is an advanced generation III+ pressurized water reactor currently under construction outside Atlanta, Georgia. The project represents one of the largest private infrastructure investments in the region and will deliver 1,150 MW of zero-carbon power to the grid.
The reactor incorporates the latest passive safety systems and digital control technologies, setting new standards for efficiency and reliability. Construction employs thousands of skilled workers and is expected to create lasting economic benefits for the local community through supply chain engagement and long-term operation.
This project is designed to avoid millions of tonnes of CO₂ equivalent each year compared with equivalent fossil-fuel generation. Detailed environmental performance metrics, including emissions avoidance, water stewardship and land-use commitments, will be published in our annual sustainability disclosures as the project progresses.
The project supports hundreds of skilled, long-term careers and generates substantial regional economic activity through payroll, local supply contracts, property taxes and workforce development partnerships. Final figures are updated as construction and operations milestones are reached.
